Travel Item Swap started as a simple community idea inspired by real travel experiences.

 

Many travellers find themselves picking up useful items during a trip that are perfect for one destination but unnecessary for the next.

 

The people that developed this idea have been in situations whilst  traveling and were in need of travel gear, with very little option to buy it. 

 

With T.I.S Instead of buying new gear or discarding useful items, travellers can exchange them with others travellers  heading in different directions.

Clothing, backpacks, travel accessories, books and gadgets can continue their journey with someone who needs them and you get what you need in return. No deliveries just in person exchanges that are free. 

​

There's also the option to just pass the item on for the sake of helping out a fellow travellers. Saving people from packing items they don't need or can't carry.

​

We also had sustainability at the back of our minds when developing the idea. By recycling your gear and doing the swap in person you are cutting down on your carbon footprint. Good for you and good for the planet.
